Snorkeling in Goa

Snorkeling is a swiming activity to watch underwater life with a special mask called a snorke. With this special mask snorkeler can observe underwater attractions for extended periods of time with relatively little effort. In cooler waters, a wetsuit may also be worn.

No special training is required for Snorkeling, but the ability to swim and to breathe through the snorkel is required and for safety reason, instruction and orientation from an experienced snorkeler / tour guide / dive club is recommended.

Bat Island and Navy Island in Goa provides one of the best snorkeling facilities. Some other places for snorkeling in Goa are Grande Island, Davy Jones, Suzy’s Wreck, Tunnel Shelter Cove and Locker Sail Rock. You will be able to see a variety of coral reefs ranging from soft to hard corals. Brain coral, sea whips, sea fan, star coral are some of the popular corals you can find in the waters of Goa. Also make sure you protect yourself against sunburn.
